QPIRG Concordia invites you to an evening of words and music where all are welcome to share their writings and compositions, or simply sit back and enjoy the creative spirit of this evening! If you would like to share your words, music or other artwork, please RSVP with your name and the kind of piece you will be sharing.
If you are feeling hesitant about whether you would like to perform or not, do still bring along the pieces you are thinking of sharing in case you feel the sudden urge to read or perform in the spur of the moment!
And if you are leaning towards simply enjoying this evening as a listener, come on over – we saved a spot for you too!
We are organizing these semi-regular evenings to encourage the creative and radical expression of community members, both people with some experience performing, but also definitely for people seeking a space to get more comfortable, in a nurturing, supportive setting. We especially encourage the participation of women-identified, racialized, queer and/or marginalized folks.
This evening is hosted by Rana Salah, a member of the QPIRG Concordia Board and community activist and poet.
Free. Welcome to all.
Food and drinks; bring something to share.
Childcare available on request.
The space is accessible to people using wheelchairs.
