It is now the time to renew your membership as a working group or to submit your application to become a Working group!!

WORKING GROUPS are the heart of QPIRG Concordia. They are groups, collectives, networks, projects and campaigns that organize together in the Montreal community and beyond, on a wide variety of issues directly related to social and environmental justice.



Together, QPIRG Concordia’s working groups share skills and knowledge, engage in popular education and art, organize events and protests, provide support and solidarity, publish alternative research and analysis, and in general, contribute, encourage, and maintain resistance in diverse and creative ways. Working Group budget maximums:

New working groups can apply for up to $300
Working groups that were new this year, up to $800
​Groups that have been working groups for 2+ years, up to $2000

For returning working groups:

Deadline for the 3 following is August 30th at 6pm in person or online

(you can drop in our door mailbox week days after 6pm and weekends)

  • Activity report

  • Yearly budget report

PLEASE NOTE CHANGES FOR THIS YEAR:

We are changing the working groups budget year to align with our budget year (Sept 1st- Aug 31st) This is something our auditor has been requesting for a while and will make our finance coordinator’s job easier! Since we will be cutting the 2017-18 working group budget year short to do this, any money not spend by August 31st will be added to your working group budget for 2018-19 (and will not be included in the maximum amount you can apply for).

-Budget reports: All returning working groups must submit a budget report from the 2017-18 year
-New working groups- For the first year your budget year will be October 1st to August 31st.
