Open to students from any campus or college in Montreal
This year, QPIRG Concordia presents monthly sessions about activism and community involvement for students. These sessions are meant for anyone who is curious or interested in getting more involved in their community, and engaging and social and environmental justice issues.
“Activism for Students 101” will include an overview of collectives, groups and organizations that people can join or volunteer, as well as answer any questions participants might have about social justice organizing in the Montreal context. We will also discuss QPIRG's anti-oppression, grassroots organizing framework.
There are four Activism for Students 101 workshops scheduled for 2010:
THURSDAY, JANUARY 7, 1pm
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 1pm
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3, 1pm
TUESDAY, APRIL 6, 1pm
-> All scheduled workshop take place at the QPIRG Concordia space at 1500 de Maisonneuve West, #204 (metro Guy-Concordia), above the Café Depôt.
-> The space is wheelchair accessible. If you require childcare to attend, please contact us 48 hours in advance and we will arrange for free childcare.
-> These workshops are open to ALL students from any campus or college in Montreal. No need to reserve in advance; just show up!
