Dear members of QPIRG Concordia –

On October 15, 2009, we held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Open House. We would like to thank all of you for your participation. Eighty-one (81) members of QPIRG signed in at our AGM, which was a great turnout.

We received final elections results from our election CEO after the AGM o­n October 15th, and we can confirm that the following individuals were elected to the QPIRG Concordia Board:

Student Members

Eight people ran for six student member positions, and the following were elected:

Abbey Mahon

Angèle Mutshioko

Anna Mathen

Keetha Mercer

Sarah Kizuk

Yuseph Katiya

Community Members

Eight people ran for six community member positions, and the following people were elected:

Catherine Kendler

Daniel McSharry

Daniel Simonian

Ricky Kelly Shepard

Shannon Franssen

Tessa Vikander

[Note: Catherine Kendler was elected in a run-off to break a tie for the sixth position.]

We would like to warmly thank everyone who ran for a Board position and indicated their intentions to contribute to QPIRG Concordia.

We can also confirm that all of the following individuals were elected to be members of the QPIRG Concordia

Thanks again to everyone who attended our Open House and AGM, and especially for those of you who were able to stay until the end of what ended up being a very long meeting. We’re looking forward to another great year.
